Execution Class 3
- Structural steelwork
- Trusses and overhead crane support
- Cold Rolled
We provided the structural steelwork for the design and build training facility, as well as truss and overhead crane support for phases 1 and 2 of the train facility.
Working with GMI, Hambleton Steel were appointed to design and build a steel framed train facility on behalf of their client, Siemens. The train manufacturing plant and supply chain rail village is in Goole, East Yorkshire, and the site will bring nearly 1,000 jobs to the area, and around 1,700 jobs in the supply chain.
Hambleton Steel delivered the structural steelwork package for Phase Two of Siemens’ Goole manufacturing facility, comprising the Rain Test building and Traction Drive building within the existing Goole site. The project involved two crane-served industrial buildings and included both hot-rolled and cold-rolled steelwork, supplied to meet demanding operational and programme requirements.
The project demonstrates Hambleton Steel’s capability in supporting large-scale industrial developments, providing high-quality fabricated steelwork aligned with tight timescales and complex site logistics.
