Prologis DC5 & DC6, Heathrow
Hambleton Steel delivered the structural steelwork package for Prologis DC5 & DC6 at Prologis Park West London, a major logistics development strategically located close to Heathrow Airport. The project comprised two high-quality distribution warehouses, with DC5 and DC6 providing a combined floor area of more than 337,000 sq ft. The scale and specification of the development demanded a coordinated approach to steel design, fabrication and installation, with Hambleton Steel managing the steelwork package from manufacture through to site delivery and erection.
The package incorporated approximately 554 tonnes of structural steel, comprising 465 tonnes of hot-rolled steel and 89 tonnes of cold-rolled steel, with almost 2,900 individual steel components fabricated for the project. Hambleton Steel’s integrated approach to estimating, 3D detailing, fabrication, logistics and site installation enables complex projects of this scale to be delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
