The welding of Structural Steel within a production line based factory- On occasions plate bed and jigworks required.
The role
Main Function and Ducties of Job:
- Assembly of metal sections and plates to form complete units or sub-units using tack welding, bolting, riveting or other methods.
- Set up and operate various heavy-duty metal-working machines such as brake presses, shears, cutting torches, grinders and drills, including computer numerical control (CNC) equipment, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form heavy-metal components.
- Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite.
About you
Requirements:
- Ideally time-served or apprentice trained Welder- Mig Welding
- Must be punctual
- Has to be conscientious
- Initiative within works is required
- Be willing and able to receive ‘on job’ training to improve welding to obtain coded standard for fillet and butt welds.
