Location: Factory in Brompton-on-Swale
The fabrication of Structural Steel within a production line based factory - On occasions plate bed and jigworks required.
The role
The main duties and responsibilities you will undertake in the role will be as follows:
- Assembly of metal sections and plates to form complete units or sub-units using tack welding, bolting, riveting or other methods.
- Set up and operate various heavy-duty machines such as brake presses, shears, cutting torches, grinders and drills, including computer numerical control (CNC) equipment, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form heavy-metal components.
- Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite.
About you
Requirements:
- Ideally time-served or apprentice trained Plater Fabricator
- Proficient with MIG welding
- Must be able to read fabrication drawings
- Has to be conscientious
- Must be punctual
- Initiative within works is required
