Location: Factory in Brompton-on-Swale

The fabrication of Structural Steel within a production line based factory - On occasions plate bed and jigworks required.

The role

The main duties and responsibilities you will undertake in the role will be as follows:

  • Assembly of metal sections and plates to form complete units or sub-units using tack welding, bolting, riveting or other methods.
  • Set up and operate various heavy-duty machines such as brake presses, shears, cutting torches, grinders and drills, including computer numerical control (CNC) equipment, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form heavy-metal components.
  • Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite.

About you

Requirements:

  • Ideally time-served or apprentice trained Plater Fabricator
  • Proficient with MIG welding
  • Must be able to read fabrication drawings
  • Has to be conscientious
  • Must be punctual
  • Initiative within works is required
